Erika Maza - About Me

Who I Am: I am an Art Director and Graphic Designer from Ecuador, pursuing my dreams in NYC. My passion for impactful work was ignited by the GROWTH Initiative, where I now proudly serve as a mentor. My journey includes learning from industry pros at events like Culture Con and Black Week, a commissioned collaboration with Adobe, and honors as a 4A's Foundation MAIP Alumna, GCSF recipient, and 2026 FIFA World Cup Volunteer. Driven by community, culture, and diverse music like classic rock, I love guiding emerging talent while learning from the pros—a mentor, but always a mentee as well.

How I Work: I design with a clear "why." Research and strategy are my foundation, but my true passion is bringing concepts to life. Once a strategy is locked in, my creative energy hits exactly like AC/DC’s Thunderstruck, though my final work often holds the deep emotion of a Coldplay song. I am a hands-on crafter utilizing custom lettering, illustration, and AI as a collaborative partner to continuously push my skills.
